A Modern Brewery

The UK brewing industry has changed beyond belief over the last 30 years in terms of consumer taste and social behaviour. When Otter was born there were less than 500 brewers in the UK. In 2020, that number had grown to just short of 2000. We started with a 5 barrel brewery where you could wrap your arms round the fermenters to give them a hug. The current brewery can brew up to 120 brewers barrels, just short of 200 HLtr or 34560 pints. We are privileged to have been able to build a brand over this time and keeping in tune with the moment is key to being a sustainable brewery in modern times. Being at the forefront of new product development helps keep us on all our toes and feeds our enthusiasm and love for all that we brew.
