OTTER BEER VOTED "BEST IN THE SOUTH WEST"
Two of our core brands have just been voted "Best in the South West" by CAMRA members and an independent judging panel.
For the second year running, Otter Amber has won Gold in the 'Bitter' category of the "South West Regional Champion Beer of Britain" competition which is organised annually by the Campaign for Real Ale.
Otter Head then made it a unique double by taking Gold in the 'Strong Bitters' category of the same competition. Both will now go onto represent the South West region in their respective categories at The Great British Beer Festival in London next August.
Otter Amber and Otter Head are two of the six main beers produced year round by the brewery, all of which are made using natural ingredients and our own spring water.
The award was presented by CAMRA's East Devon representative Alan Cottee to David McCaig and Head Brewer Keith Bennett.
A word from Patrick: "This is fantastic for Otter beers to get a double gold as we celebrate our 25th year. Our famously strong nectar, Otter Head, has something of a cult following in the South West and now sits alongside Otter Amber, a year round favourite and still our fastest growing brand, as the best in its class. Landlords require consistency and a stand out flavour on the bar so it's great to see our beers being held in such high regard."
