OTTER AMBER VOTED THE SOUTH WEST'S BEST BITTER
Otter Amber has been named the Champion Bitter of Britain for the South West.
Alan Cottee presented the award on behalf of CAMRA to Patrick McCaig and Head Brewer Keith Bennett.
Each brewery can enter up to 5 beers and there are 16 regions across the country. This year they were all blind tasted at the Cheltenham Beer Festival by members of CAMRA, landlords and other brewers.
Amber is a golden beer in colour with a citrus and piney aroma - quite powerful and spicy compared to Bitter and Ale. The taste is predominantly a balance of soft tropical fruit, spice and possibly a bit of ginger. The after taste leaves a traditional bitterness.
Great news for a great beer!
