![]() | Welcome to my kitchenI'm Mary Ann and hopefully this should make a good read about what's happening around the brewery. David and I started out with a plan 20 years ago. We decided to build our brewery in a dream situation planted in the hills of Luppitt. I am just one of those natural Mums who enjoy every job that's thrown at me. Some of those jobs are better than others, but when David asked me to brew beer, well, I could not have been happier. I come from a long line of brewers, but as men have it, or certainly my father would have it, ‘ladies' didn't brew beer - so I learnt to cook and type and nurse. Then, 20 years ago, my dream came true. Now of course I'm using my other training as well. I look after everyone here, and take care of the garden, vegetables and willow beds which clean all our dirty water. Of course, I'm always around to help with any job that needs an extra pair of hands and I'm never short of ideas! |

Patrick says its down hill all the way to weed and much harder work on the way up again! We have 3 sections now in our easy to run garden. 2 polytunnels, veggie garden, and fruit cage which is under construction and will be up and running next year. On the... | ![]() |
At the risk of being boring, another up date on the veggie patch! It's overtaking us!
It's brilliant and why does anyone garden at ground level! I think if I was 20 something again, I'd shovel all the top soil into raised beds as weeding becomes almost a pleasure.
No more, just to say we are self sufficient now and...
Last year at Christmas David and I were given the most generous of Christmas presents - tickets to the first night of the show complete with picnic and fireworks. We also had a great night at a pub on the way home!
The show was awe inspiring. It's every bit again as good as watching on the TV with all the show gardens which are equally as...
This was a very nice contact we had. Many years ago when David and I were doing our own bit here, pub trips around the brewery started.
We had a letter this last week from a gentleman who sat on the lookout supping his beer and watching the sun set. His letter said he was at Glastonbury Festival this year sitting with his son, and they were...
